2019 LEXUS NX 300 VS 2019 MERCEDES GLC CLASS
Lexus and Mercedes-Benz both brought their A-games when they developed the 2019 Lexus NX and the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. The two SUVs share similar qualities such as standard features, interior space and gas mileage – but one SUV does it at a better price.
The new Lexus NX 300 has a starting MSRP of $36,485. That’s over $4,000 less than the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. Both luxury compact SUVs can fit five passengers. Inside of the Lexus NX 300 are faux leather seats that can be upgraded to genuine leather, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat all standard. Leatherette upholstery (that can be upgraded to leather), heated front seats and a 14-way power-adjustable driver’s seat come standard with the 2019 GLC-Class. Reviews of both vehicles have described them as extremely comfortable. Even with the NX 300’s lower price tag, it still has similar interior features to the GLC.
For our Shreveport drivers wanting an upgrade, they can explore the NX 300 F Sport or NX 300h – both still priced below the GLC-Class. The 2019 NX 300 makes for an ideal luxury SUV because it’s competitively priced and stacked with tech and safety features. It features an 8-inch display screen, Bluetooth, USB port, HD radio, Siri Eyes Free, Wi-Fi Hotspot, smartphone app navigation and smartphone integration with Enform App Suite. Standard safety technology includes a rearview camera, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. The 2019 Mercedes GLC comes with a slightly smaller 7-inch display, HD radio and two USB ports. For an additional fee, Shreveport drivers can upgrade to a larger screen, Wi-Fi Hotspot, satellite radio (which are standard on the NX 300), Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
